PRIVATE PRILOT COURSE PPL (A)

SCHOOL PHASE

Flight training follows the official 45-hour minimum program set by the aeronautical authorities (AESA) and is supervised by the Head of Instruction of the school.

Once the course is finished, the student will be able to continue making their flight hours with us to obtain the Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

The theoretical phase consists of 9 subjects which can be done in person or remotely, this being one of the best ways to advance at your own pace.

DURATION

At the Aeroclub de Catalunya we offer you the possibility of taking the PPL (A) courses in a personalized way. The duration will depend on your availability to fly and the time you dedicate to the theoretical study.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum age of 17 years old at the time of presentation to the official exam.

Class 2 Aeronautical Medical Examination

LAPL PRIVATE PILOT COURSE (A)

The LAPL (Light Aircraft Pilot License) is a European license that entered into force in 2015 to promote aviation in Europe. Through the LAPL course a first pilot license is obtained at a cheaper price.

The LAPL license is a middle ground between a ULM license and a PPL (A) license with advantages such as:

Theory credits validation: 100% of the theoretical credits are validated for the PPL (A) course, while the ULM license does not validate anything.

Flight hours validation: All flight hours are certified and cumulative (with the ultralight license only 10% of the total hours carried out are validated, with the LAPL license 100% of the hours carried out).

Flying in VFR visual conditions in controlled airspaces and / or airports.

Fly at night in NVFR night vision conditions.

Fly in certified light aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of 2000 kg and up to four seats.

NIGHT FLIGHT COURSE VFR NIGHT

The objective of the NVFR night vision flight course is to train our pilots safely and efficiently according to the rules of night vision flight.

We will carry out a theoretical course before the flight to understand the main differences of flying day and night: optical illusions, fatigue, visual references, are some of the points that will be covered during the course.

All flight hours will be made after sunset, at night, to familiarize ourselves with the environment and thus be able to operate in these types of conditions in complete safety.

In our course you navigate in night conditions along the coastline and in the interior of the provinces of Tarragona, Barcelona and Girona.
